WinUtil is a free utility that is regularly updated with new features. It is a PowerShell script with a graphical interface that allows users to flexibly configure Windows settings, perform system tweaks, and quickly install necessary applications. In this guide, we will examine how to launch WinUtil and what features it offers.
Launching WinUtil
To use WinUtil, you do not need to manually download files — it is launched via PowerShell. Follow these steps:
1) Open Windows PowerShell or Windows Terminal as an administrator. You can do this by right-clicking the Start button and selecting the appropriate option.
2) Enter the command:
irm "https://christitus.com/win" | iex
3) Press Enter. The utility will automatically download the necessary files from the official developer’s website, after which its graphical interface will open.

Features of WinUtil
All utility functions are divided into separate tabs. Let’s look at each of them:
1) Install
On this tab, you can install, update, or uninstall applications and system components using WinGet. The tab’s capabilities include:
– Selecting applications for installation or update and clicking “Install/Upgrade Selected”.
– Using “Uninstall Selected” to remove applications.
– The “Upgrade All” button updates all installed applications available through WinGet.
2) Tweaks
This tab is designed for fine-tuning Windows. Its capabilities include:
– A list of popular tweaks (on the left). Clicking the “?” icon will open a documentation page for the selected option.
– Applying tweaks using the “Run Tweaks” button.
– Managing popular settings such as adding the “High Performance” power plan or creating a shortcut for WinUtil.
– Quick access to O&O Shutup 10 for configuring Windows privacy settings.
3) Config
This tab presents additional configuration options
– Installing Windows components.
– Enabling automatic registry backup creation.
– Configuring automatic Windows login.
– Resetting network and Windows Update settings.
– Checking system file integrity.
– Access to classic system configuration windows.
4) Updates
This tab manages Windows update settings. Three modes are available:
– Standard settings.
– Installing only security updates.
– Completely disabling updates or deferring them for 2 years.
5) MicroWin
This feature allows you to create a customized Windows 11 ISO image. Its capabilities include:
– Removing unwanted applications.
– Disabling telemetry.
– Removing the requirements for an internet connection or Microsoft account during installation.
